The Brilliance, Purpose and Excellence (BPE) foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Solomon Empire Limited, has commenced the 2020 edition of its maiden National Essay Competition in Nigeria with a call for entries.
Solomon Empire is committed to inspiring individuals to be influencers, change agents with the aim of making the world a better place by creating purposeful individual impact in our immediate environments. We do this by deploying different strategies and teaching key techniques. One of such techniques is Observation and Documentation.
The Solomon Empire 2020 Essay Competition deadline has now been extended to July 15th 2020.

Essay Topic: This year, the topic is “HOW SHOULD GOVERNMENT AND CORPORATE ORGANIZATIONS HELP PEOPLE PREPARE TOWARDS POST COVID-19 AND FUTURE PANDEMICS”
Eligible Countries: Nigeria (36 states including the FCT)
About Award: Solomon’s Empire in its 1st year edition of its essay competition, targeted at senior secondary school students in Nigeria only, is aimed at discovering new talents from the grassroot, encourage creative writing as well as giving a voice to the next leaders of our dear country Nigeria. According to the founders, vulnerable young Nigerians in government owned schools needs to be shown the pathway to leadership as well as turn their focus away from social vices and time-wasting activities.
Applicants must be within the age bracket 13 – 17 years
Applicants must be registered in a secondary school from SS1, 2 and 3 classes only.
Essay requirements: The following information must be included on the last page of the essay.
Applicants must include their full name, age, name of their school and address of their school;
Guidelines for Essay Competition
Essays must not be longer than 750 words.
Essays must be submitted in PDF format only.
Essays must be written in English, in black ink with font size 12 and double-spaced.
Only one entry per student and each entry must be the original work of the student.
Essay entries must not be already published. The essay must be written exclusively for this contest.
Any essays found to be plagiarized will be automatically disqualified;

Solomon Empire Foundation 2020 Essay competition would comprise of 3 major application stages.
Stage one: General submission online by all participants on or by the midnight of Wednesday 15th July 2020
Stage two: shortlisted successful applicants would be invited for the second stage of the competition via a live zoom session or any other medium as communicated
Stage three: Top 3 winners and other consolation prizes winners would be announced with their prizes awarded via a live zoom session.

1st prize: #200,000 cash with 1-year Mentoring
2nd prize: #100,000 cash with 6 Months Mentoring
3rd prize: #50,000 cash with 3 Months Mentoring
With other beautiful consolation prizes.
