Nelson Mandela was the first South African president elected in fully democratic elections. Mandela was also the main player in the anti-apartheid movements in the country and served a lengthy prison sentence because of same. This did not stop Mandela and in fact motivated him to devote his life to uniting his country and he successfully managed to do so after his release from an almost 30 year prison sentence. Through the seemingly ordinary actions that Nelson Mandela did, he turned himself into a world renowned person and he made history.
Every person on the earth has the potential to make history. Consciously or unconsciously, everything you do contribute to what is said of you many generations later.
Living a life of significance is a conscious decision. Many young people take decisions without thinking ahead; however, young people have the time, energy and resources to create a change than any other generation.

When James Shaw Jr. took courage and stopped the shooter at Waffle House, I believe his plan was not to be a Hero. But he did become many people’s hero because of his act of courage in deciding to save people’s life.
Whatever it is we hope to achieve in life, it will require some amount of courage and until you are willing to go all out, you have not started the journey of legacy.
